THE MOTORQUIP GROUP

Four Masters Approved Car Audio Specialist

South Devon Car Audio

Our background in car audio.

Car audio is where the Motorquip story began. South Devon Car Audio is our dedicated audio installation division, based at the Motorquip workshop in Newton Abbot. The wider business also covers vehicle security, towbars, camper electrics, commercial vehicle installations and parking systems.

As vehicle systems have developed, factory integration, digital amplifiers and vehicle networks have made upgrades more complex. We combine practical installation experience with suitable modern interfaces and tuning to deliver a system that integrates with the vehicle and remains reliable. This can mean a straightforward speaker improvement or a complete amplifier and DSP installation, with clean mounting, protected wiring, suitable speaker sealing and sound treatment.

Connected features and stereo upgrades

Depending on the vehicle, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be added to the existing factory display or included in a replacement head unit. Supported phone apps provide navigation, music, hands-free calls and messages, and voice control. Replacement stereos can also add touchscreens, Bluetooth, DAB and reversing-camera compatibility. We use vehicle-specific integration parts where available and confirm which original controls and functions can be retained.

Our workshop and appointments

All installations take place at our Newton Abbot workshop, with the workspace and equipment needed for the job. We welcome customers from Newton Abbot, Torquay, Paignton, Exeter, South Devon and the wider Devon and Cornwall area.

Visits are by appointment, so we can allow time to discuss your vehicle, check compatibility, demonstrate the options and prepare an accurate quote. Tell us your existing system, the music you enjoy and what you would like to improve.

A complete supplied-and-fitted system

We supply and install our audio equipment as a complete service. This lets us check the components, complete the wiring and mounting, tune the finished system and support it afterwards. Our Hertz and Audison installations include the five-year parts and labour warranty described below. Four Masters membership also provides access to specialist technical support, training and installation guidance.

South Devon Car Audio at Motorquip is proud to be an approved member of the Four Masters, a nationwide network of specialist car audio retailers and installers across the UK.

Four Masters brings together some of the most experienced car audio professionals in the country, all focused on delivering high-quality installations using premium equipment and professional installation techniques.

Membership of the Four Masters network is not open to every installer. Businesses are selected based on their experience, installation standards and commitment to providing high-quality audio systems and customer service.

Being part of this network allows us to offer our customers some of the best car audio equipment available along with extended warranties and ongoing technical support.

5 Year Parts & Labour Warranty

One of the key benefits of choosing a Four Masters approved installer is the extended warranty available on selected products.

All Hertz and Audison systems supplied and installed by South Devon Car Audio include a 5-year parts and labour warranty.

This warranty is supported through the Four Masters network and provides long-term peace of mind that your audio system is protected.

Professional Installation Standards

A high-quality car audio system is not just about the equipment used — the installation is just as important.

As a Four Masters approved installer we follow professional installation standards including:

  • Vehicle-specific integration

  • Correct wiring and protection

  • Secure mounting of components

  • Acoustic treatment and sound deadening where required

  • Careful system setup and tuning

This ensures every system performs at its best while remaining reliable and safe within the vehicle.

At South Devon Car Audio we focus purely on supplying and professionally installing audio systems.

We do not sell car audio parts for DIY installation. This allows us to ensure every system is correctly designed, installed and supported with full warranty cover.
